Industrial Design Students Sweep Autodesk Connected Future Innovation Challenge
Industrial Design student Ari Horowitz has been named the winner of the Autodesk Connected Future Innovation Challenge for his design: SoftStroke360°, a smarter toothbrush to help improve brushing habits. Ari will receive $5,000 and the opportunity to apply for an elite Autodesk paid internship during the summer of 2016.
In addition, the other three finalists in the competition were also Virginia Tech Industrial Design students: Jarett Volkoff, Luisa Lacsamana, and Katie Simmons. The finalists each received an Autodesk-sponsored trip to Autodesk University Las Vegas, where they participated in the Live Autodesk University Pitch Session, mentorship from leading professionals with experience in incubator or the start-up community, as well as the opportunity to network and pitch their ideas and skills in front of a distinguished panel of judges and an audience of Autodesk’s corporate customers.
