With all the blood, sweat and tears of an intense week-long home renovation behind them, Building Specialists, Inc. (BSI) and Virginia Tech are ready to celebrate with the community at an "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" air party, being held at Virginia Tech on Sunday, February 12.

Solar Decathlon House on HGTV
The Virginia Tech Solar Decathlon house that swept the architectural awards at the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon 2005 in Washington, D.C., last October will be featured on "I Want That!" on the HGTV network.

Extreme Makeover

Markus Breitschmid’s Book Honored
Markus Breitschmid's book, Der bauende Geist. Friedrich Nietzsche und die Architektur (The Building Spirit. Friedrich Nietzsche and Architecture), has recently been selected as one of fourteen seminal texts written on the problem of architectural space by the Institute of Philosophy in Karlsruhe-Germany.
