Senior Graduate Teaching Assistant
Shabnam Kavousi is an Iranian PhD candidate in the Architecture and Design Research Program. Her research interest is in students’ cognitive learning processes in the domain of architectural design problem solving. She received a Master of Arts in Education (MAED in Curriculum and Instruction) focused on education psychology in 2014. Her experience as a teaching assistant started from 2009, when she was completing her M.S. in Landscape Architecture at the University of Putra, Malaysia, and has continued by active participation in the foundation design studio. She has presented her research work in several conferences, nationally and internationally, and also published several papers about her studies. She also holds the “Future Professoriate” and “Cognition and Education” certificates offered by the Graduate School at Virginia Tech.
