Environmental Systems Laboratory

Located on Price’s Fork Road approx. 3 miles west of the Virginia Tech main campus in Blacksburg, the Environmental Systems Laboratory provides approximately 12,000 square feet of space, including a high-bay area with overhead crane, a wood workshop, a metal workshop with welding capability, project work areas, and a low-speed wind tunnel. Along with the Research and Demonstration Facility, this laboratory is an integral part of the School’s academic and research programs, supporting prototype construction and testing at a range of scales from components through full-scale building assemblies. The surrounding University-owned land is suitable and available for the construction of building prototypes for testing in an exterior environment.
