Landscape Architecture studios are located on the upper floor of the Collegiate Square office and retail complex, adjacent to the Virginia Tech campus, near the corner of Price’s Fork Road and North Main Street in Blacksburg.

Students in each academic year of the graduate and undergraduate program have a dedicated studio workspace at the Collegiate Square Studio, a 9,000 square foot leased academic facility, located approximately 3 blocks from Cowgill and Burruss Halls. Students are grouped by academic year, and the open environment offers graduate and undergraduate students substantial opportunity for collaboration, the sharing of ideas, peer support, study, and reflective critiques.

The Collegiate Square Studio also offers instructional support facilities and equipment including wireless Internet, two electrostatic plotters, a medium-format drum scanner, flatbed scanners, and color and black-and-white laser printers supported by a limited number of designated computer workstations. Each student’s studio desk is supplied with surge-protected power. The studio also includes a reading/reference area, a small but well-equipped model shop, and a laser cutter for model making. A student lounge area and vending machines are also provided.
