Kadambari Baxi is a partner in Martin/Baxi Architects, based in New York City, engaged simultaneously in commissioned work and design research. She also leads Imagemachine, a collaborative practice that incorporates expanded architecture and media concepts in multidisciplinary projects. With an interdisciplinary team of designers, film-makers and scientists, she created a multimedia project, Air Drifts, on global air pollution, exhibited at the Oslo Architecture Triennale, and she co-founded the advocacy group: WBYA? (Who Builds Your Architecture?). Kadambari Baxi is an Associate Professor of Professional Practice in Architecture at Barnard College/Columbia University, where she teaches architectural design studios, senior seminars, and special topics seminars.
