Inside Architecture and Design
Monday · 23 June 2008
Donna and Robert Dunay are pleased to announce the 2008 edition of inside Architecture + Design. This week-long summer course offers students in high school grades 9 through 12 a critical insight into architecture and the related disciplines of design. Students are taken through a series of studio assignments that parallel the first years of college education.
The course consists of five days of full instruction and gives first hand experience of university life. Participants interact with School of Architecture + Design summer studio students. For individuals who are curious about design or thinking about a career in architecture and design, this experience can prove to be the most important week of the summer. Students from Virginia, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and North Carolina have participated in past years. The program has been a springboard for individuals who are currently enrolled in Virginia Tech’s architecture and design programs and at other universities.
