The Inn at Virginia Tech
Virginia Tech’s College of Architecture and Urban Studies presents its bi-annual Research Symposium on Feb. 1 from 9:00 am to 7 pm and Feb. 2 from 9:30 am to noon at the Inn at Virginia Tech. The symposium features faculty from all of the college’s schools and departments—the School of Architecture + Design, the School of Public and International Affairs, the Department of Building Construction, the Department of Landscape Architecture, and the Department of Art and Art History—presenting research generated during the last two calendar years.
Topics range from news of an electronic arts installation being created by a collaborative of faculty for the Art Museum of Western Virginia to a review of existing best practices in energy policy and planning to an examination of transparent shading devices as a way to control daylighting, and much more.
Admission to the College of Architecture and Urban Studies Research Symposium is free.
