Career Day 2010

The School of Architecture + Design at Virginia Tech announces its Career Day 2010, scheduled for Monday, February 22, 2010. Career Day will be held at The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center on the Virginia Tech main campus in Blacksburg, VA. All Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design and Landscape Architecture firms are invited to attend. Career Day 2010 will run from 10am until 4pm. Each reserved space will be provided with a table, electricity and internet capability. We will also be providing (9) booths for firms who would like to have a larger and more private space.
Registration fees are as follows:
$550.00 - table in central area of ballroom without wall display area (70 spaces available).
$650.00 - table adjacent to wall for display (8 wall spaces available). Please call for availability.
$750.00 - table in private booth (3 sides enclosed) outside of ballroom (9 booths available). Please call for availability.
We will provide rooms in Cowgill Hall and Burchard Hall, within the School of Architecture + Design, for firms that wish to interview on Career Day. Refreshments and lunch will be provided at the Inn throughout the day.
Space is limited and will be filled as the School receives registration information and fees. The deadline for registering for the 2010 Career Day will be February 1, 2010. Resumes will be securely made available to the participating firms to review online by February 3, 2010. The School will be conducting resume and portfolio workshops for students to prepare for Career Day 2010 in November 2009.

If you plan to attend the 2010 Career Day and stay at The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center, hotel reservations should be made no later than Monday, January 24, 2010. We have reserved a block of rooms for this event. The room rate is $139.00 per night, which includes a parking fee. To make room reservations at the Inn, please call (540) 231-8000.
